NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center has contracted with Accenture Ltd. to continue development and maintenance services for the space agency's Integrated Financial Management Program.
The task order for IFMP's Integrated Asset Management module has a ceiling of $200 million, IFMP program executive officer Patrick Ciganer said.
Accenture has been working for NASA for several years to configure and deploy other IFMP modules such as budget formulation, said Stan Gutkowski, an Accenture managing partner for government practice. IFMP uses applications from SAP Public Services Inc. of Washington.
Full deployment of the asset management module will take 24 to 36 months, Gutkowski said.
After deploying the module for managing the space agency's fixed assets to NASA's headquarters and 10 centers, Accenture will work on the human resources and contract management modules, Gutkowski said.
