Dyntek has acquired Alex Woda and Associates Inc., a risk management consulting firm. Terms of the deal, announced Tuesday, were not disclosed.
Alex Woda and Associates of Toronto is an information risk management consulting firm specializing in enterprise architecture development, information technology security and auditing services and risk management methodologies.
The acquisition will expand Irvine, Calif.-based Dyntek's team of security experts, international exposure and service capabilities, said James Hansen, Dyntek's senior vice president of security services.
Alex Woda and Associates has a staff of information system auditors and security specialists who help organizations manage risk, assess security strategies, develop policies and standards, implement security architectures and manage corporate and security compliance programs.
Woda will join Dyntek as national director of security architecture services and general manager of Dyntek Canada. The company will acquire several key employees and a network of independent associates through the deal, said Linda Ford, Dyntek's spokeswoman.
The acquisition is the company's third in the security space, she said. The company acquired Entellus Technology Group Inc. in July 2003 and Mormar Technology Inc. in October 2003.
Dyntek, a provider of technology and management solutions to state and local government, has about 250 employees and annual sales of $52.6 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
