CACI captures Air Force support services deal

CACI International Inc. has won a six-year, $31 million contract to provide support to one of the Air Force's key operations at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, the company announced today.

CACI of Arlington, Va., will provide onsite technical support and transformation management through innovation assessment, testing and systems integration to the Air Force Command Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center Intelligence Directorate.

CACI will support the Distributed Ground Systems-Experimental Program for the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System. The system takes surveillance data and images gathered from intelligence sources around the globe, then processes and distributes them.

CACI will perform standard configuration management activities and test and integrate new technologies and equipment. The company will work at Langley and support sites in California, Hawaii, Germany and Korea.

CACI offers IT and network solutions for defense, intelligence and e-government. It has more than 6,300 employees and annual sales of $843 million. The company ranked No. 19 on Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue. The 2004 list is due out in May.
