Army re-ups ManTech for technical services

The Army has awarded ManTech International Corp. two follow-on contracts worth $31.2 million for technical support services, the company announced today.

In the first contract, ManTech of Fairfax, Va., will provide command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I), systems support to deployed elements of the U.S. Southern Command at locations throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean. The contract is worth $21.6 million.

In the second contract, ManTech will support the relocation of the Special Operations Command from Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, to facilities at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Homestead, Fla. ManTech will provide architecture, design, installation, integration and testing of a turnkey C4I system. The contract is worth $9.6 million.

ManTech, a provider of IT and technical services solutions to the federal government, has more than 5,000 employees and annual sales of $701.6 million. The company was ranked No. 36 on Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list.
