Anteon wins Navy submarine program management deal

Anteon International Corp. has won two Navy contracts totaling $525 million for program management support for sea and air systems, the company announced this week.

In the first contract, Anteon of Fairfax, Va., will provide program management and technical support services to the Naval Air Systems Command. The five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is worth $460 million if all options are exercised.

Anteon will provide a wide range of professional support services to the Navair headquarters, program executive offices and field affiliates related to the acquisition of aircraft and aviation weapons systems. The services range from research, design, development and engineering to procurement, test and evaluation, training and logistics and support.

In the second contract, Anteon will support the Naval Sea Systems Command's Team Submarine Corporate Operations by offering a range of program management support services. The 10-year contract is worth $65.3 million if all options are exercised.

The Navy's Team Submarine, which is composed of Navsea submarine and undersea warfare and technology-associated program offices, is responsible for developing, acquiring, modernizing and maintaining the Navy's submarines and undersea systems.

Anteon provides information technology and engineering solutions to the federal government and international sectors. The company has about 7,600 employees and annual sales of $1.04 billion. The company ranked No. 14 in the Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list.
