Anteon nets Coast Guard support deal

Anteon International Corp. won a five-year contract of up to $48 million to provide IT services to the Coast Guard to support the Department of Homeland Security, the company said today.

The Fairfax, Va.-based information technology and systems engineering company said that under the blanket purchase agreement, it would supply systems integration support, network engineering and design services and technology evaluation services.

Under the initial $15.7 million task order, Anteon will provide enterprise engineering support and management services to the Coast Guard's Telecommunication and Information Systems Command.

"The scope and criticality of services to be provided under this [agreement] make this a key contract for the Coast Guard and Anteon," said S. Daniel Johnson, the company's executive vice president and chief operating officer, in a printed statement.

Anteon recorded revenue of slightly more than $1 billion in 2003 with more than 90 percent coming from the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and intelligence agencies. The company employs 7,600 workers in more than 100 offices worldwide.
