Titan wins $217 million Army IT support deal

Titan Corp. has won a seven-year, $217 million contract from the Army Information Management Support Center to provide information technology support services, the company announced today.

Under the contract, Titan of San Diego will provide enterprisewide desktop services, including service desk services, installation, system analysis and architecture, messaging, system administration, server and Web server management and configuration management.

The contract will serve more than 7,000 military, civilian employees and contractors working at the Pentagon and the more than 90 agencies that belong to the Headquarters Department of the Army.

In addition to the enterprise desktop services requirements, Titan also will support the Army's Desktop Realignment Initiative, which is focused on streamlining and enhancing IT support services through performance measures, commercial best practices, and timely upgrades of technology and standardization.

The realignment initiative will expand the contract to an additional 5,000 customers, Titan said.

Titan has about 12,000 employees and annual revenue of $1.9 billion. Titan ranked No. 15 on Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
