ManTech wins Customs contract for security

ManTech International Corp. won a contract from the Homeland Security Department for personnel security investigation services at the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, the company said.

The contract is for one year with four one-year options. If all options are exercised, the contract will be worth $29 million.

ManTech MSM Security Services Inc., a division of Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech International, will do the work. According to the company, ManTech MSM will provide security and investigative consulting and IT services.

ManTech is one of four awardees that will offer personnel security services to Customs under a GSA schedule competitive procurement. Other contract winners weren't immediately identified.

With more than 5,000 employees, ManTech has a history of providing technology and solutions for national security programs for the intelligence community, the Defense Department and other federal government customers.

ManTech ranked No. 36 on Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
