CACI wins $30M naval contract

CACI International Inc. won a $30 million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to support naval aviation manpower, readiness, and training services at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Md., company officials announced today.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is for one year with two option years. Work under the contract will be performed at aviation facilities around the country, including Pensacola, Fla., Corpus Christi, Texas, Norfolk, Va., and San Diego.

CACI will integrate existing repositories of parts and inventory data. It will also develop and maintain a repository of integrated production data, which will expedite aircraft servicing, company officials said.

CACI will also develop processes designed to cut the time and expense of training naval aviators.

Arlington, Va.-based CACI is a longtime provider of engineering, training, and logistics solutions to the U.S. Navy. The company was selected for this contract because of the naval aviation expertise gained by its acquisition of Acton Burnell Inc. in October 2002, CACI officials said.
