EMA wins Spawar contract, spot in $3B Marine Corps program

Eagan, McAllister Associates Inc. of Lexington Park, Md., won a contract to provide engineering and technical support to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Systems Center Charleston, company officials announced today.

The contract is worth at least $8.5 million, and more than $48 million if all options are exercised.

EMA was also one of four companies recently selected to provide specialty engineering services on the Marine Corps Systems Command's $3 billion Commercial Enterprise Omnibus support service program. Places on the contract were initially awarded last year to 22 firms.

The other companies selected are AT&T Corp., Bedminster, N.J., ManTech International Corp. of Fairfax, Va., and Modern Technologies Corp. of Dayton, Ohio, according to Carrie McMillan, an EMA spokeswoman.

Under the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command contract, EMA will provide services such as test and evaluation, systems engineering and integration, operational systems engineering support, logistics support, and research and development for the command and other customers, including the Special Operations Command, Naval Sea Systems Command and the Navy Modeling and Simulation Management Office.

EMA will work in areas such as air traffic control, radiation detection, meteorological and oceanographic systems, geospatial information systems, navigation and environmental systems, electromagnetic environmental effects, and undersea warfare.

The work will be performed in Charleston, S.C., Tampa, Fla., and Fayetteville, N.C.

Under the Marine Corps contract, EMA will provide engineering services. The Commercial Enterprise Omnibus support service program allows federal agencies to issue blanket purchase agreements with Federal Supply Schedule contractors for these services.
