Accenture nets $3 million Canadian deal

Accenture Ltd., Hamilton, Bermuda, won a $3.1 million contract to help Canada manage its immigration and citizenship programs, the company announced Wednesday.

Under the contract, Accenture will help the Citizenship and Immigration Canada agency design, develop and deploy a case management system. Accenture will validate business requirements and architect a high level design.

"CIC is striving to improve customer service and adopt customer relationship management practices that are prevalent in the corporate world," said Graeme Gordon who is an Accenture partner overseeing the company's immigration, justice and security practice. "With the new case management system and some reengineered processes, the CIC should be able to operate more efficiently and improve its customer service."

The agency's new system will replace 14 older ones. It will hold case files on individuals. The Accenture team includes Microsoft Corp., Siebel Systems, Inc. and Ajilon Group, a professional services supplier.
