Maximus gets ERP work

Maximus Inc. has won an $11.2 million contract from Kansas City, Mo., to implement enterprise resource planning software, the company announced July 10.

Maximus of Reston, Va., will put in place ERP modules that will integrate human resources, payroll, pension administration and budgeting from the financial management solution.

PeopleSoft Inc. of Pleasanton, Calif., is providing the ERP software.

Maximus also will assess the city's return on investment related to the system.

David Mastran, Maximus' chief executive officer, said the ERP solution will help the city reduce redundancies and overlaps and cut long-term maintenance costs. He also said the newly deployed Internet-ready, Web-enabled features will provide improved and enhanced system access.

Maximus, a provider of program management, consulting and information technology services for state and local government, has more than 5,500 employees and annual sales of $518.7 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
