Dyntek acquires security consulting firm

Dyntek Inc., a state and local government contractor, has acquired Entellus Technology Group, a management consulting firm.

Dyntek Inc., a state and local government contractor, has acquired Entellus Technology Group Inc., a management consulting firm, Dyntek announced this week. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Entellus of Longwood, Fla., is specializes in audit, security, reliability, tuning and management of networked systems.

The acquisition "allows Dyntek to immediately broaden our reach through an existing client base and achieve an immediate impact on our bottom line," said Steve Ross, Dyntek's president.

Entellus has an established international client base in the commercial sector and has government clients such as NASA and the Federal Reserve, the company said.

Entellus President Frank Lyons will join Dyntek's security division as director of application security services.

Lyons, who is a certified information systems auditor and a certified network diagnostic engineer, has been involved in data security and the auditing of networked database information solutions for more than 30 years. He is regarded as an expert in security SAP, PeopleSoft and Oracle ERP application solutions sets, according to the company.

Dyntek of Irvine, Calif., is a provider of technology and management solutions to state and local government. The company has about 400 employees and annual sales of $83 million.
