Concord to acquire NetViz
Concord Communications Inc. is planning to buy NetViz Corp., a business process software concern.
Concord Communications Inc. is planning to buy NetViz Corp., the company announced today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Through the acquisition, Concord of Marlboro, Mass., expects to acquire technologies that are used to redefine and improve IT management by improving delivery and automation of application services.
NetViz of Gaithersburg, Md., is a provider of software that enables users to visualize business processes and allows them to map relationships within the supporting technology infrastructure through data-driven icons.
NetViz's software is used by more than 3,800 public and private organizations around the world for wide area access and local area access mapping, workflow documentation, database visualization and conceptual design modeling.
In addition to the acquisition, Concord said it has licensed root cause analysis and discovery technology from Tavve Software Co. of Research Triangle Park, N.C.
The integration of these technologies, with Concord's flagship product, the eHealth Suite, will provide a more automated means of application service optimization, according to the company.
The company's new offerings will enable enterprises and service providers to employ data-driven icons to visualize and take action on critical relationships between business processes, application services and network and system infrastructures.
Concord, a provider of services aimed at optimizing application performance and availability across networks and systems, has more than 450 employees and annual sales of $93.8 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
