General Dynamics Corp. won a $1.95 billion Air Force contract to provide information technology equipment and technical support to the defense and intelligence communities.

The Intelligence Information, Command and Control Equipment and Enhancement contract, called ICE2, is a four-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity vehicle with two three-year options.

General Dynamics will provide preventive and remedial maintenance of hardware and inventory management of commercial, modified commercial and special-design equipment.

The Defense Department Intelligence Information System and command and control communities use the equipment to support intelligence and operations, and to provide intelligence data to the National Command Authorities and various civilian agencies and departments. The Air Force, Army, Navy, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Imagery and Mapping Agency, National Reconnaissance Office and departments of State, Energy and Treasury are among those the contract supports.

In another award, General Dynamics won a $100 million contract to lead the next phase of an Army program to network soldiers for the battlespace. The design work the company completes may lead to subsequent production work worth up to $3 billion.
