ACS lands Air Force IT support services deal
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won five-year, $6 million task order to provide the Air Force Materiel Command with information technology support services.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won five-year, $6 million task order to provide the Air Force Materiel Command with information technology support services, the company announced today.
The General Services Administration task order directs the company to provide IT support services to the Air Force Materiel Command's Directorate of Communications and Information, the company said.
Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will provide IT support to command organizations at Davis-Monthan, Hill, Robins and Tinker air force bases. The support includes network management and administration, help-desk management, network security and training of network administrators.
The company has a long-standing relationship with the command, having provided IT service to many installations over the years, said Harvey Braswell, group president of ACS' federal solutions.
ACS is a provider of business process outsourcing and IT outsourcing to the commercial and government sectors. The company has more than 40,000 employees and had annual sales of $3 billion in fiscal 2002.
