Tech group names Washington area's top women

Marguerete Luter of Unisys Corp. received the Champion Award at the Fourth Annual Women in Technology Leadership Awards Banquet May 15.
Luter was among several women honored by the Women in Technology group, a professional organization for women who work in technology and related fields. She is vice president of global bid management in the Global Infrastructure Services unit at Unisys, where she leads the company's efforts to provide integrated solutions to clients worldwide. She is also a co-chair of WIT's Mentor-Protege Program.

Vonya McCann, senior vice president for federal external affairs at Sprint Corp., who received the Corporate Leadership Award.
Kimberly McCabe, president and CEO of Advanced Performance Consulting Group Inc. of Washington, who received WIT's Entrepreneur Award.
Deborah Loudon, deputy chief information officer of the National Reconnaissance Office, was given the government leadership award.
Rear Adm. Vivien Crea, the Coast Guard's first woman admiral and formerly its CIO, who received the lifetime achievement award. She is now commander of the First Coast Guard District and of Maritime Defense Command One.
