Maximus nabs two local governments contracts
Maximus Inc. has won two local government contracts, totaling $30 million, to provide justice and voting systems.

Under a five-year, $26 million contract, Maximus of Reston, Va., will oversee implementation of a direct record, electronic voting system for the board of supervisors for Orange County, Calif. The company also will conduct voter outreach and education, train election staff and poll workers, and provide support on election day.
Maximus is partnering with Hart InterCivic of Austin, Texas, on the project.
Under a $14 million contract, the company will provide justice solutions software to the Houston Municipal Court. The project will provide Houston with an integrated justice system that runs on Maximus' CourtView software product.
The system will support municipal court operations in a paperless work setting closely integrated with other justice agencies, particularly the Houston Police Department.
Maximus is a provider of program management, consulting and information technology services to state and local government. The company has 5,300 employees and annual sales of $518 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
