Cobb County, Ga. schools tap Titan for IT services
Titan Corp. won a five-year, $50 million contract to provide the Cobb County School District in Marietta, Ga., with information technology services.
Titan Corp. won a five-year, $50 million contract to provide the Cobb County School District in Marietta, Ga., with information technology services, the company said April 30.
Under the contract, Titan of San Diego will provide IT services that include help desk and field technical support services, local and wide area network operations and maintenance, telecommunications support, data center operations, applications development and maintenance and disaster recovery planning.
In addition, the company will provide consulting to school staffs as well as related technical and management support services.
The school district is one of the largest in the nation with 112 schools, education centers and administrative buildings and more than 112,000 students and employees. The contract is expected to save the district about $5 million, Titan said.
Titan is a provider of information and communications systems, solutions and services to the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies and other government customers. The company has about 10,500 employees and annual sales of about $1.5 billion.
