SAIC finishes Computer Systems Technology acquisition
Science Applications International Corp.'s acquisition of the Huntsville, Ala.-based information technology services company provides SAIC with additional capabilities in engineering, programming and logistics services.
Science Applications International Corp. completed the acquisition of Computer Systems Technology Inc., the company announced April 16. The acquisition of the Huntsville, Ala.-based information technology services company provides SAIC of San Diego with additional capabilities in engineering, programming and logistics services. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. CST has 900 employees and has annual sales of $90 million, according to SAIC. The business will be operated as the Computer Systems Technology Group and will remain in Huntsville. The new unit will be part of SAIC's Technology Applications Sector, which is based in McLean, Va. "CST has a proven track record of growth and profitability in the federal marketplace, and this acquisition can give us the opportunity to expand the level of services and solutions we offer our customers," said Michael Daniels, vice president and manager of SAIC's Technology Applications Sector.CST's relationships with strategic federal government clients also will benefit SAIC moving forward, he said. Clients include the departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, Interior and Treasury, the General Services Administration, NASA and the military services.SAIC has more than 38,000 employees and annual sales of $5.9 billion.
