DOD taps SRA for Transportation Command training
SRA International Inc. won a 54-month, $22 million contract from the Department of Defense to provide training support to the U.S. Transportation Command's Joint Deployment Training Center.
SRA International Inc. won a 54-month, $22 million contract from the Department of Defense to provide training support to the U.S. Transportation Command's Joint Deployment Training Center, the company announced today.
Under the contract, SRA of Fairfax, Va., will provide resident training at two sites within the United States and mobile training teams to other U.S. Department of Defense installations around the globe to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of personnel to plan and execute joint deployment operations.
The resident training will be offered at Fort Eustis, Va., and Scott Air Force Base, Ill., the company said.
SRA will train defense personnel on the joint deployment process, defense transportation system and joint operation planning and execution systems.
SRA, which has supported to the U.S. Transportation Command since 1991, will be assisted on the project by Northrop Grumman Corp. of Los Angeles.
SRA, a provider of information technology services and solutions to U.S. federal government organizations, has more than 2,100 employees and had annual sales of $361.2 million in 2002, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
