CACI International Inc. was awarded a $103 million prime contract to support Navy Enterprise Maintenance Automated Information System Data Center operations, company officials announced Feb. 12.

The contract is for three years with two two-year options.

CACI of Arlington, Va., will work at the Naval Sea Systems Command site in Norfolk, Va., in conjunction with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Norfolk.

The award increases CACI's core line of business in engineering services, officials said.

The award also furthers the company's strategy to expand its enterprise integration and management services to its federal clients, said J.P. "Jack" London, CACI chairman and chief executive officer.

The automated information system is designed to replace aging maintenance information systems with new integrated software. The NEMAIS Data Center is used by thousands of Navsea and Fleet users for daily business operations, maintenance reporting and resource management.

CACI has been providing technical and managerial support to federal civilian and Defense Department security and data center operations for more than 10 years. CACI also supports the Air Force and Navy Network Operations Centers, as well as the Defense Enterprise Computing Centers, by re-engineering legacy systems and associated networks for increased efficiency.

"Our ability to standardize and integrate systems so they can 'talk' to each other more easily will help the Navy achieve its enterprise re-engineering objectives," said Ken Johnson, CACI's president of U.S. operations.

CACI employs about 5,900 people in 90 offices in the United States and Europe. The company had $681.9 million in revenue for fiscal 2002.
