AMS nabs three local government ERP contracts

American Management Systems Inc. has won three local government enterprise resource planning projects totaling $5.7 million, the company announced this week.

The contracts are with Palm Beach County, Fla., Cobb County, Ga., and Prince William County Schools, Va.

Under the contracts, AMS of Fairfax, Va., will provide its Web-based government ERP solution.

The government-specific functionality and flexibility of the solution's Web-based architecture allows customers to minimize or eliminate the need for modifications, and results in faster and more cost-effective implementations and reduced long-term costs, the company said.

More than 375 public sector organizations use AMS' public sector ERP suite to manage their financial, human resources and administrative operations, the company said.

Among the company's most recent state and local ERP wins are Iowa, Massachusetts, Wyoming and Orange County, Fla.

AMS is a global business and information technology consulting firm with about 7,000 employees and $1.1 billion in annual revenue.
