The rapid pace of acquisitions in the government information technology industry continues, with several purchases announced this month.

Science Applications International Corp. plans to acquire Quality Research Inc., a privately owned company in Huntsville, Ala., that provides professional IT services, modeling and simulation, training and technical and engineering services to the Defense Department, NASA and the state of Alabama. Terms were not disclosed.

Information Management Consultants Inc. of McLean, Va., a privately held company that builds IT custom and packaged solutions for government, commercial, higher education and

scientific organizations, will purchase the
Kevric Company Inc., Silver Spring, Md. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Computer and High-tech Management Inc. has ac-quired ECI Systems and Engineering, bringing in information security products,

financial crimes investigation capabilities and weapons system engineering skills. Terms were not disclosed.


World Wide Technology Inc. merged with Telcobuy.com LLC, bringing it under World Wide Technology Holding Co. Inc. Telcobuy.com provides telecommunications services and was founded in 1999 by WWT founder and CEO Dave Steward. Steward served as chairman of Telcobuy. Terms were not disclosed.

The Boeing Co. is buying Conquest Inc., a provider of enterprise architecture, systems engineering and software technology solutions to the intelligence community. The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of 2003. Terms were not disclosed. *
