Four firms get NSA blanket purchase agreements for IT services

Four companies have won blanket purchase agreements from the National Security Agency to provide a range of IT and engineering services.

One of the winners, Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif., estimated that the five-year BPA would be worth $300 million to the company.

The other three companies winning BPAs are QSS Group Inc. of Lanham, Md., CACI International Inc. of Arlington, Va., and EER Systems Inc. of Chantilly, Va., according to CSC.

The BPA includes IT engineering and technical and management services in support of the Information Technology Infrastructure Services program at the NSA Washington campus and NSA sites worldwide.

The BPA will be used to provide NSA with technical analysis; systems and security engineering; hardware and software installation, maintenance and training; help-desk support; and systems administration.

CSC said that about 250 of its software engineers, systems engineers, architects and administrators, logisticians, technicians and support staff from its Maryland Intelligence Center will work on the contract.

Thirty-nine firms, including 23 small businesses, are part of CSC's team, the company said.
