BearingPoint, Veridian win $123 million Navy aircraft work

BearingPoint Inc., McLean, Va., and Veridian Corp., Arlington, Va., have each won a spot on a $123 million contract to provide engineering and program management services for Navy aircraft. The two companies will compete for work.

The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, which includes one base year and four option years, calls for the companies to provide engineering and program management services for the Navy's E-2C Hawkeye tactical warning and control system aircraft and C-2A Greyhound cargo aircraft.

Work will be carried out at the Naval Air Systems Command's Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division facilities in Lexington Park, Md., as well as other locations.

According to Veridian's Jan. 6 announcement, support services include program management, program requirements analysis, system software documentation review and analysis, technical and analytical support, acceptance test planning, weapon system specification evaluation, training and tactical mission support.

Veridian's teammates include Arinc Inc., Annapolis, Md.; Eagan, McAllister Associates Inc., Lexington Park, Md.; Heron Systems, Inc., California, Md.; Smartronix Inc., California, Md.; and Whitney, Bradley, & Brown Inc., Vienna, Va.
