Acquisition Solutions snags EDS exec as president

Anne Reed, former president of Electronic Data Systems Corp.'s state and local government group, is joining the research and consulting company Acquisition Solutions Inc.

Anne Reed, former president of Electronic Data Systems Corp.'s state and local government group, is joining Acquisition Solutions Inc., a research and consulting company that specializes in advising federal agencies on acquisition issues.Before working at EDS, Reed spent 20 years working for the government starting as a Presidential Management Intern and rising to become the Agriculture Department's chief information officer.Reed has received numerous honors during her career, including being named Government Executive of the Year by Government Computer News in 1998. In 2001, Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government recognized her with its Alumni Achievement Award, and Virginia Gov. Mark Warner named her to the state's Chief Information Advisory Board in 2002.Acquisition Solutions "has been on the forefront in assisting government in transforming procurement practices to assure that government gets the best value, a commitment that I share," Reed said."Anne brings outstanding leadership and management skills to the helm as we continue our corporate journey. ...
