Xybernaut wins $1 million DoT work
The solutions unit of Xybernaut Corp., Fairfax, Va. has won $1 million worth of services work from the Department of Transportation.
The solutions unit of Xybernaut Corp., Fairfax, Va. has won $1 million worth of services work from the Department of Transportation, the company announced Dec. 26.
The contract follows a number of sales the company made to Transportation offices for the company's Program and Project Management Systems solution, which is a capital improvement management software system designed by Xybernaut in conjunction with state transportation organizations.
Under terms of the contract, Xybernaut subsidiary XSI will provide support for one implementation of the solution. XSI focuses primarily on software development, asset tracking and project management.
Founded in 1990, Xybernaut specializes in manufacturing mobile, wearable computers. It employs approximately 160 employees and lost $32.2 million on $9.8 million in sales for fiscal 2001, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
