IBM Federal gets chief technology officer
IBM Corp. has named Raymond Wells chief technology officer of the company's federal group.
IBM Corp. named Raymond Wells this week as chief technology officer of the company's federal group.
Wells is a former chief financial officer and chief technology officer for Alabama.
Most recently, he was IBM's director of strategic transformations in its Software Application Integration and Middleware Division, specializing in IT upgrades within the U.S. government's classified agencies.
In his new role, Wells will work on the product side of IBM Federal, coordinating sales and services and focusing on integrating software applications.
He will report to John Swainson, general manager of the application and middleware division, and will work closely with Anne Altman, general manager of IBM Federal, based in Bethesda, Md.
