HHS re-ups SRA for parent locator

SRA International Inc. won a two-year, $18.9 million contract from the Department of Health and Human Services to provide information technology support services for the Federal Parent Locator System, the company announced Dec. 9.

Under the task order contract, SRA of Fairfax, Va., will provide a range of program management, development oversight and technical and operational support for the program, which helps agencies locate parents who are behind in child support payments.

SRA's partners on the contract include TRW Inc., the Center for the Support of Families, Millennium Solutions Inc. and Insight Technology Solutions Inc., the company said.

SRA has provided management, IT services and operations support to the Federal Parent Locator Program since 1996. The data stored in the program's repository is used by state and local child support agencies to find noncustodial parents who are delinquent in child care payments and to increase collections.

The task order was awarded under the Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations contract. The HHS Office of Child Support Enforcement manages the program.

SRA provides IT services and solutions, including strategic consulting; systems design, development and integration; and outsourcing and operations management to clients in the national security, health care and public health and civil government markets. The company has about 2,100 employees and annual revenue of $361 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
