CSC wins missile defense system work

Computer Sciences Corp. won a four-year, $23 million contract from the Missile Defense Agency to assist in the development of advanced capabilities for the ballistic missile defense system, the company announced Dec. 10.

The one-year contract has three one-year options. The contract also includes an additional six-year term valued at more than $36 million, the company said.

Under the contract, CSC of El Segundo, Calif., will provide technical program management, systems integration and scientific services to assist the MDA's Advanced Systems Directorate.

CSC will support the development of technologies to improve sensor discrimination, battle management and other capabilities.

CSC has more than 65,000 employees and annual revenue of $11.4 billion.
