Anteon lands two Air Force contracts

Anteon International Corp. has won task orders worth $13.7 million for support work at two Air Force bases.

Anteon International Corp. won task orders worth $13.7 million to support the Air Force Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., and the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.

The warfare center is responsible for developing and conducting operational testing programs to support force development evaluations, tactics development and special evaluation projects for fighter aircraft weapons systems.

Under the terms of the six-year, $8.2 million order, Anteon will conduct pre-test research and participate in designing, scheduling, monitoring and evaluating testing efforts for aircraft such as OA-10, F-15, F-16 and F-22 fighter aircraft programs.

The research lab award is a five-year task order valued at approximately $5.5 million. Anteon will provide technology consulting services and information dissemination support for the lab's structures division research and development program.

Anteon, Fairfax, Va., reported 2001 revenue of $715 million. The company, which went public in March 2002, has more than 5,600 employees in over 80 offices worldwide.
