SRA wins $20 million missile defense job

SRA International Inc., Fairfax, Va., won a task order to help design an enterprise information management system for the Missile Defense Agency, the company announced Oct. 30. The task order is worth an estimated $20 million, according to the company.

The SRA team includes Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas; Anteon Corp., Fairfax, Va.; Miltec Corp., Huntsville, Ala.; Phacil Inc., Newark, N.J.; and Vanguard Research Inc., Fairfax, Va.

For this task, the SRA team will provide information architecture and engineering support, including development of an enterprise architecture, system design and integration, knowledge management, information assurance and Web development.

The work is expected to take 30 months. If options are exercised, SRA will build a prototype of the system. The resulting system will help MDA organize and collaborate on business and mission information.

MDA, formerly known as the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, is the Defense Department organization in charge of developing national and theater-based missile defense systems.

The task order was awarded by the General Services Administration's Federal Systems Integration and Management Center.
