Veridian Corp. is getting set to begin work on a $154.4 million Navy contract after the General Accounting Office denied the protests of two losing bidders.
The protests were filed by EER Systems Inc. and Science Applications International Corp. after Veridian of Arlington, Va., won the five-year contract in July. Grounds of the protests have not be released.
SAIC was the incumbent vendor on the contract, which supports the Naval Air Systems Command Weapons Division at China Lake and Point Mugu in California. The contract is for scientific, technical, administrative, research, development, test and evaluation services related to the Navy's development of weapons systems.
