Titan wins Air Force financial information system contract

Titan Corp. of San Diego announced Sept. 9 it won a U.S. Air Force financial information systems contract worth up to $18.7 million over four years.

The contract expands the company's support to the Air Force's financial information systems programs, said Eric DeMarco, Titan's president and chief operating officer.

The Air Force's Electronic Systems Center's Financial Information System Program Office awarded the time and materials contract. The office develops and implements financial information systems for Air Force and Department of Defense customer. The contract supports ESC's Information Technology Services Program at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Under the contract, Titan will provide technical assistance in planning, managing, coordinating and executing DoD Information Technology processes for developing and acquiring financial information systems. Some programs supported by Titan include the Automated Business Services System, Job Order Cost Accounting System II, Financial Information Resource System, Command Management System and Automated Budget Analysis Centralized User System.

Titan provides of information and communications systems solutions and services to the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies and other federal customers. The company employs about 10,000 and has annual sales of about $1.6 billion.
