Stanley Associates bolsters federal presence with CCI purchase
Stanley Associates Inc. strengthened its position in the federal market with its acquisition of CCC Inc., a technical and management services company whose customers include the Naval Air Systems Command, the U.S. Agency for International Development, NASA and the Coast Guard.

The acquisition, announced Sept. 5 by the two privately held companies, closed Sept. 3. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. CCI has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanley Associates, Alexandria, Va.
With approximately 170 employees, CCI, also of Alexandria, Va., specializes in providing technical services in management, engineering, logistics, warehousing, information technology, video and photography. The company anticipates revenue of $17 million for 2002.
Founded in 1966, Stanley Associates, provides information technology and professional services such as systems development, network engineering, systems engineering, operations management, remote hosting and information assurance. Its government customers include the departments of State, Defense, Transportation, Justice, Energy, and Commerce, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Federal Communications Commission.
The company has approximately 1,000 employees and had revenue of $109 million for fiscal 2002, according to Bernie Tylor, spokesman for Stanley.
Paul Chase, who was president and CEO of CCI, will join Stanley as a senior executive.
The sale was facilitated by Capital Partners LLC, Rockville, Md.
