Raytheon regroups

Raytheon Co., Lexington, Mass., has realigned its government and defense organization to form seven business units. The new units were created by combining parts of the former Electronic Systems and Command, Control, Communication and Information Systems divisions. The new business units will be headed by leaders who report to Raytheon President William Swanson.The units are: Integrated Defense Systems, Intelligence and Information Systems, Missile Systems, Network Centric Systems, Space and Airborne Systems, Raytheon Technical Services and Homeland Security."This new, leaner government and defense structure will enhance our alignment with customers," said Daniel Burnham, chairman and chief executive officer of Raytheon. "It also eliminates layers and cost and will enable us to move with greater speed and agility."
