Louisiana taps Northrop Grumman for IT services
Northrop Grumman Information Technology has won a three-year contract from the Louisiana Department of Social Services to provide information technology services to support agency operations.
Northrop Grumman Information Technology has won a three-year contract from the Louisiana Department of Social Services to provide information technology services to support agency operations, the company announced Sept. 3.
The contract has a potential value of $8.1 million, the company said.
Under the contract, Northrop Grumman IT will provide the department with personal computer desktop, server, application and network support. The company is paired with a local vendor, Diamond Data Services, New Orleans, which will be responsible for system administration and desktop support.
Northrop Grumman IT will provide on-site support to the Department of Social Services primarily in Baton Rouge, and also at offices in Lafayette, Shreveport and New Orleans.
Northrop Grumman IT is the information technology division of Northrop Grumman Corp. of Los Angeles. Northrop Grumman employs about 96,800 and has annual sales of $13.5 billion, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
