Retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Russell Anarde will join CACI International Inc. of Arlington, Va., to lead its Space Operations and Systems Support organization, the company announced Sept. 12.
Anarde's recruitment reflects CACI's increased focus on providing information technology solutions to U.S. military space commands, company officials said. Anarde is former director of plans and programs for the Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
Based at CACI's Colorado Springs location, Anarde will help craft a business development program for space-related work. The program will center on CACI's solutions for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. Anarde also will have management responsibility for some new clients.
As director of plans and programs for the Air Force Space Command, Anarde managed resources; planned for force structure, bases and facilities; and directed programs in manpower and quality, international relations and foreign disclosure. He also held commands in a Minuteman missile squadron, operations group and wing and in a space warning and surveillance operations group.
