DRC wins Air Force contract

Dynamics Research Corp. announced Aug. 20 it won a five-year, $26 million contract to provide technical and acquisition support services to the Air Force's Global Command and Control System program office, part of the Electronic Systems Center.

The contract began July 31 and is worth $4.4 million in the first year. It has four one-year options totaling $21.6 million. DRC previously supported the program as a subcontractor, receiving approximately $1.3 million annually.

The Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Mass., is responsible for the development, acquisition and support of the Air Force integrated command, control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance system. DRC of Andover, Mass., said it is one of the largest suppliers under the center's information technology services program.

The company provides services such as evaluating system requirements, providing software development and test services, integrating products into airborne and ground weapons systems, and providing management services.
