DRC wins defense work

Dynamics Research Corp., Andover, Mass., has been selected to provide advisory support and assistance services to the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System program office. The five-year contract is worth $34 million.

Although the company supports the program as a subcontractor to Dallas-based Affiliated Computer Services Inc., taking in approximately $1.3 million in annual revenue, the new contract, which begins Aug. 1 and has DRC as prime, has an eight-month base period award of $4.3 million and four one-year options.

JSTARS is a project of the Air Force and Army to develop a long-range airborne surveillance system. JSTARS provides ground information via secure data links with command posts, ground stations and centers of military analysis, according to the program's Web site.
