D.C. seeks new justice info system
Washington, D.C., has released a proposal for a contractor to provide a system worth about $5 million.
Washington, D.C., has released a proposal for a contractor to provide an integrated justice information system worth about $5 million, the market research firm Federal Sources Inc. said July 19.
The proposal was issued July 15 by the Superior Court's Data Processing Office to support the district's integrated court system database integration initiative. Bids are due Aug. 16, according to McLean, Va.-based FSI.
The successful contractor will provide and implement commercial software for the integrated justice information system. The contract requirements include software acquisition, customization, installation, data conversion and maintenance.
The district's project seeks to provide a system that would allow users to obtain information about a person or case from 18 computer databases that manage different types of cases and are housed in separate operating divisions and units of the court, according to FSI.
Among the potential bidders are Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas; Deloitte Consulting, New York; KPMG Consulting, McLean, Va.; Northrop Grumman, Los Angeles; Titan Systems Inc., San Diego; Tyler Technologies Inc., Dallas; and Unisys Corp., Blue Bell, Pa.
