Zaidman returns

Steve Zaidman, who retired last month from the Federal Aviation Administration, is back with the agency in a new role.

Zaidman has become director of airways facilities service in the agency's Air Traffic Organization. He replaces Alan Moore, who will retire June 2.

Zaidman retired as FAA's associate administrator for research and acquisitions and had begun a job in transportation security with Computer Sciences Corp.

In his new FAA job, Zaidman will oversee technicians and engineers responsible for maintenance and upkeep of hardware in the National Airspace System.

Charlie Keegan, head of the Office of Free Flight, took over Zaidman's acquisition post.
