Maximus acquires Australian firm
Maximus Inc. has acquired Leonie Green and Associates Group, a company that provides work-force services to government.
Maximus Inc. has acquired Leonie Green and Associates Group, an Australian company that provides work-force services to government, the company announced May 8.
Company officials declined to disclose the terms of the acquisition.
The acquisition of LGA by Maximus of McLean, Va., will help the company establish a foothold in the Pacific Rim, said David Mastran, Maximus' CEO
LGA provides work-force-related services through performance-based contracts to states in Australia. Services include employment services, vocational rehabilitation, injury management, vocational and corporate training and welfare services.
The services are similar to the welfare-to-work and work-force development services that Maximus provides to state and local governments throughout the United States.
LGA has about 400 employees working at 70 sites in five states throughout Australia.
