CACI wins DISN work

CACI International Inc. of Arlington, Va., won a $500 million subcontract with Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego to support the communications network of the Defense Information Systems Agency.

The Defense Information System Network Global Solutions contract is for nine years if all options are exercised.

Under the subcontract, CACI will provide managed network services and other technical support to DISA.

With the subcontract work, CACI will be able to expand its managed network services business, according to a company statement.

DISA, through the Defense Information System Network, is responsible for the information networks that support the nation's armed forces.

"Over the years, we have attracted a talented cadre of communications experts who possess the required skills and security clearances needed to maintain vital networks to support the warfighter anywhere in the world," said Ken Johnson, CACI's president of U.S. operations.
