Pomata to lead WebMethods' new federal unit
Len Pomata, former president and CEO of Litton PRC, becomes president of the new unit March 11.
Middleware provider WebMethods Inc., Fairfax, Va., has picked Len Pomata, former president and chief executive officer of Litton PRC, as president of its new business unit, WebMethods Federal, the company announced March 1. Pomata's first day in the office will be March 11.
Pomata will be actively involved in operations and sales, as well as devising a strategic plan, building partner and agency relationships and reviewing marketplace needs for the 10 salesperson office, the company said.
"We are excited that someone with Len's extensive experience has joined the team and will be able to extend our presence," said Phillip Merrick, chairman and CEO of WebMethods.
Pomata served at Litton PRC as president and CEO from 1995 until 2000. He was at the company 18 years. (Northrop Grumman Corp., Los Angeles, subsequently acquired Litton PRC.) In 2001, Pomata moved to Oracle Corp., Redwood Shores, Calif., where he worked as a senior vice president for business development.
