Kentucky taps TRW for child support services

TRW Inc. has won a five-year contract to provide Kentucky's Division of Child Support with new hire data collection and transmission services, the company announced March 26. The contract value was not disclosed.

Under a contract that began March 1 with Kentucky's Cabinet for Families and Children, Cleveland-based TRW will provide comprehensive customer service and technical assistance to employers, operate data exchanges with child support enforcement systems, maintain databases with confidential information, sustain employer compliance and provide program outreach to employers.

Known as the new hire program, the child support and enforcement tool is intended to help the state quickly locate noncustodial parents who have recently changed jobs and promptly issue wage withholding notices to their employers to collect support.

TRW has child support customers in 28 states. The company provides a wide range of technical and professional services for state child support agencies, including systems automation work, planning, feasibility studies, training, policy support and new hire services.
