Vogel will be paired with a federal industry partner from Feb. 12 to Nov. 5., Fairfax, Va., hired as senior vice president of the Information Technology Division. Metcalf will replace retiring CEO Roger Ferguson who will remain on Semio's board of directors. Metcalf was founder and CEO of Digitivity, a Java server and security software company. The firm was acquired by Citrix. Metcalf also served as CEO of HAL Computer Systems, a maker of supercomputing workstations and servers, later acquired by Fujitsu; and Dynabook Computers, a portable computer design firm acquired by Unisys., a Doylestown, Pa., information technology company, promoted to senior director of the Technology Integration Division of Special Operations based in Vienna, Va. Zimmerman joined Sytex in 2000.
