Virginia firm wins Justice Department contract
Diversified Technology & Services of Virginia Inc. has won a records management contract with the Justice Department, potentially worth $37.4 million over five years.
Diversified Technology & Services of Virginia Inc. has won a records management contract with the Justice Department potentially worth $37.4 million over five years.
Under the terms of the contract, DTSV will provide support to the department's records management unit, including technical support, design, quality control and quality review. The company also will analyze and identify problems and design solutions involving work procedures, staff assignments and work flow.
The company will provide services for the civil division, which represents the U.S. government and its employees in most areas of civil law and in some criminal matters, said Judy Jones, business development director for DTSV. Civil division attorneys handle thousands of cases each year, she said.
Jones said most of the work will be done in the Washington area, where the civil division has a central records management unit and numerous active records units. Work also will take place at a small field office in New York.
DTSV is a women-owned business based in Newport News, Va., Jones said. The company provides services in four main areas: administrative (such as this contract), visual information , logistics, and facility and equipment operations and maintenance.
