Madison CEO inducted into NFL Hall of Fame
John Stallworth, president and chief executive officer of Madison Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., has been elected to the National Football League's Hall of Fame, the NFL announced Feb. 2.
John Stallworth, president and chief executive officer of Madison Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., has been elected to the National Football League's Hall of Fame, the NFL announced Feb. 2.
Stallworth was a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1974 to 1987. A veteran of four Super Bowl games, Stallworth caught a total of 537 passes and made 63 touchdowns during his career. He also holds Super Bowl records for career average-yards-per-catch (24.4 yards) and the single-game average-yards-per-catch (40.33 yards in 1980).
Founded in 1986, Madison Research ranked no. 12 in Washington Technology's 2001 list of Top 25 8(a) and small businesses, based on prime contract information technology revenue.
Madison provides engineering and information technology services to federal agencies, including support operations to both NASA's Headquarters and its Goddard Space Flight Center. In December, the company was selected by the Department of Defense for a $62 million, six-year contract to support Huntsville supercomputing center for what is now the Missile Defense Agency. The company employs 650 people.
